About RED musicvideos

Welcome to REDmusicvideos.com
This website is home to a joint venture between LA based musicvideo director Greg Ephraim and Europe based musicvideo director Maurice Steenbergen. This joint venture gives new clients a wide range of possibilities, the most important is the ability to shoot your musicvideos in either the USA or in Europe. Both locations have RED One cameras and an experienced crew!

shotonredTypical high-end HD camcorders have 2.1M pixel sensors and record with 3:1:1 color sub-sampled video at up to 30fps. RED offers the Mysterium ™ Super 35mm cine sized (24.4×13.7mm) sensor, which provides 4K (up to 30 fps), 3K (up to 60 fps) and 2K (up to 120 fps) capture, and all this with wide dynamic range and color space in 12 bit native RAW. At 4K, that’s more than 5 times the amount of information available every second and a vastly superior recording quality. In addition, you get the same breathtaking Depth of Field and selective focus as found in film cameras using equivalent 35mm P/L mount lenses. Mysterium ™ boasts greater than 66db Dynamic Range thanks to its large 29 sq. micron pixels. And 12,065,000 pixels deliver resolution that can only be called Ultra High Definition.

Depending on the type of project and the budget involved, we can also decide to shoot the musicvideo at another format like HDV video with or without 35mm lenses. We provide musicvideos for nearly every budget, but the real magic is in our RED musicvideos.

A typical musicvideo production starts with a first interview to see if your expectations and visions match ours and if we can deliver what's needed within the acquired budget for that particular project. After that a planning is made and a location must be scouted. If all pre-production is finished there's D-Day: the day of shooting at the location. Here all crew, actors, artists, stylists, make-up artists and equipment comes together. After a long day of shooting the footage is taken to the editor for importing, rendering and first light colorgrading.

After a few days the first edit will be released to the client, on which corrections can be made. After final approval the final masters are made, being files for Youtube, a DVD and / or tapes for television broadcast (MTV etc.). We hope our showreel has raised your interest and you will include our team in your next pitch request for musicvideos.
